I have owned my SA850 for a little over 2 weeks now. I find that I truly love it. I find that the Stiffness and Recovery modes help me the best after a hard day in front of the computer at work. Both settings give a really good deep massage. You can also adjust how deeply it massages. You have three levels from which to choose.
The sensor system seems to work well, although I find that perhaps my hand is not big enough to get a good grip on the handheld sensor. But all in all I find that it does sense where I need the most work. When it first starts it works it's way down your back and legs massaging while it is measuring. I'm short and my husband is tall and it doesn't have any trouble "finding" where our shoulders start. There is an adjustment button if you feel it didn't get it correct.
My favorite setting is "Relax". I've had problems going to sleep and staying asleep all night, but if I use the Relax mode just before I go to bed, I find I get a good night's sleep.
Before I bought the SA850 I purchased an iSqueeze for my feet and legs. I find the massage mechanism on the SA850 to work much better. The iSqueeze didn't seem to sense your leg size and it squeezed your legs the same. The chair pushes harder on one side than the other at times and it has massaging balls that come up on the bottom of your feet and your calves.
This is not a vibrating chair, it truely gives you an excellent massage. It is good that I have moved away from my masseuse, I'd hate to have to tell her that she had been replaced by a chair!
